Yeah, pretty surreal, eh?
Yeah, a special moment today and one that I'll cherish for a long time.
Yeah, I rang my partner straight away but I actually left my immediate family to find out today during the naming so it was a tough secret to keep for a little while.
Yeah, it was.
Obviously it's something you dream of and you don't really think something like this is going to come around, so just truly grateful to be selected.
I guess it's not your traditional path to get to here, but obviously going overseas and getting that experience and developing myself as a player and as a person, and then obviously coming home and having the opportunity to play for the Hurricanes again, it's always a dream to play and come back to New Zealand.
It was something to strive for, but first and foremost it was getting back to playing some good rugby for the Hurricanes.
I guess for everyone it's different.
For me this was my journey or the way it worked out for me.
I'm truly happy that I made that decision and got to experience that style of rugby and I felt that it has helped me as a player and as a person develop.
It's up to any individual I guess, there's no real right or wrong.
Massive.
I'll just take every day as it comes and continue to grow as a player and learn off some of the best players and coaching.
