Where if you go into your home and you're using soap that's full of artificial and synthetic things that are hazardous to your health,
just get a more natural soap right or laundry detergent for example get a more natural laundry detergent cleaning supplies you can swap those out but just find one thing that you can change do it for a while when you feel good about it then you can switch to you know you can move on to the next thing in your home just even filtered water for example taking your shoes off when you come to the house
You know, a number of things like that, that if you change, you're decreasing your environmental load and your inflammatory load, and you're going to be better off and more resilient long term.
What are the biggest offenders?
Cleaning supplies are probably one of the worst.
Laundry detergents is a really big thing.
Obviously, anything like a moldy home, if...
If you have a mold like mold in your home, there's nothing that we can do to help you.
Essentially, like you got to get the mold gone as fast as possible and then we can help kind of build from there.
But mold in a home is obviously really bad.
Other environmental things like perfumes, laundry detergents, soaps, shampoos, makeups.
There's a lot of things that have a significantly high environmental load that impact our quality of life and overall health.
And what's interesting too is not everyone reacts to the same thing.
So just like food proteins, we'll have different chemicals that will bind onto our proteins called albumin, and then our immune system attacks that and freaks out and causes issues.
There's research now that shows if we are exposed to certain things and our immune system starts to attack it, within five years, we're almost 100% likely to develop an autoimmune condition.
The same thing with gluten.
If we have a gluten intolerance and we continue to eat it for five years, research shows we're almost 100% likely to develop an autoimmune condition from that.
So autoimmune conditions are exploding over the course of the last 40 years.
Even for my population, we see a high volume of autoimmune patients.
we're seeing younger and younger people with autoimmune conditions and problems just from from this right do you think it has anything to do with our obsession with sterility and hygiene i mean it's good to be hygienic obviously but there's uh the the hygiene hypothesis a thousand percent yes i mean you look at like covet dude i couldn't i go to a workout and my bench was just lathered with crap and i'm like this that's worse for you than you know
