Um, they've come from the championship, and I'm sure they weren't playing low block football to finish as high as they were in the championship last season, so they're going through their own period of adaptation, whereas Newcastle and Forest were already playing that kind of style of football, and now you know obviously Newcastle got a new manager, but the forest.
Manager, we've seen as adept also playing low block football and stopping Liverpool in playing low block football.
Basically, what I'm saying is as each game goes on, really, the excuses are becoming less and less.
And that's what I was trying to say to Adam before is like this kind of signal to start now of like, okay, the trance window being open is no longer one of those excuses, like that upheaval is not there.
If it's gonna affect Cody Gakpo, for example, that excuse is i is now removed and basically
the real football can start now.
And what I want to see from Liverpool tonight is I mean, a win first and foremost, but a but a win that kind of reflects the performances of the last few games in terms of like the good things that were coming through being accentuated and the bad things that were coming through too much being lessened.
It's where team selection becomes a bit of an interesting point really, uh Adam.
It doesn't give too much away in the press conference, I don't think.
I I'm also not necessarily expecting wholesale changes.
It's interesting that Barkala will be involved.
I wondered whether that would be the the case in terms of even just in in the squad really because he's not been with Liverpool in pre-season.
Luckily he's he has had one with PSG, so that feels like some advancement on what we had with Isaac coming into things last season.
But I don't expect
Expect him to start necessarily, I think, especially given how professional Cody Gakpo has dealt with everything, how professionally I should say, it feels like he should still be, you know, sort of there for now and him and Barkley can kind of fight for that place.
Munoz has been an absolute revelation so far.
So I think he should retain his place, and whether that's him on the left and Gakpo on the right remains to be seen really.
I don't think it's the game to be changing the right back necessarily.
I I don't think he should be s starting Soberslider.
There, anyway, for the for the foreseeable, based on what that could then do to Jeremy Frimpong, as you've already said, when when he's got low confidence, I I understand like you know, bringing Frimpong off in games and putting Sobersly into it and f and using that way to get more minutes into an Alexei McAllister or or a Ryan Gravenberg, and then kind of you know almost say to Frimpong, we're happy to keep starting you, but we don't think this is necessarily good enough, and we are prepared to change things, but it's definitely also not a game I
