I think the very first bill I'm going to sponsor is a dignity and work bill.
Raise the minimum wage federally.
Do away with 14C certificates.
This allows a for-profit business to pay someone just due to a disability a sub-minimum wage and pass the PRO Act as well.
Make sure we've got collective bargaining rights back to every single one of our workers.
But I'm deeply, deeply committed to ensuring
that every single American, every Iowan has access to affordable and accessible health care and would love to see us arrive at something like a public option.
I'm not trying to measure the drapes yet, honestly.
If I'm able to be able to get up here and be elected to the U.S.
Senate, I'll sit down with whoever's running for leadership and I'll ask them a few questions.
I'll say, what are you going to do for Iowa?
What are you going to do for Iowans?
What are you going to do for the middle class?
I'm a common sense prairie populist.
The issues that I care about, driving private equity out of housing and health care,
making sure that we're addressing corruption, campaign finance reform, banning members of Congress from owning and trading stock because my opponent, Ashley Henson, 10 times more wealthy just in six years of being up here in D.C.
And whoever gives me the best answer to that question, that's honestly who I'm going to support.
