And so then that comes back to us in real time on the order.
We send that into radar and we combine that with Stripe's network signals.
So we might say if it's a fraud risk of five on our side, we automatically block it.
If it's a fraud risk of three on our side, we look at the radar score.
And if that's above 30 out of 100 or 50 out of 100 for the card, then we might block it.
Yeah, so well, that was something that became clear to us when we put together this single page that listed every customer behavior and the timestamps and the time differences between them.
So what we noticed is that if you're a fraudster, you will sign up and you'll purchase very, very quickly.
And if your card fails, you'll purchase again, you'll try immediately within a minute with another card that's a different card this time, because you kind of expected the previous card to fail.
So you'll try it with a different card and then a different card again.
And if you look at a genuine customer going through a similar flow, what they'll do is even if they're signing up to purchase, they know what they wanna buy,
they'll still take 20 minutes after they sign up.
Cause they're probably checking dates.
They're probably reading over the T's and C's and the cancellation policy one more time.
Then they'll purchase with their card.
And if it fails, they try again with the same card because they're not expecting it to fail.
And then if that fails again, maybe there's a five minute gap because maybe they're checking with their partner or saying, hey, did you spend something on that account?
Did you, you know, they're checking their bank balance.
And that's stuff that is obvious in hindsight once you see it, but it's not intuitive until you really see it laid out, until you've dived into dozens and dozens of individual cases.
Yeah, interesting.
It has always been a game of cat and mouse for us.
