There wasn't like a big doll's house or a big gaudy thing.

Then my mum gave her a ton of presents, including a pangolin, some DVDs.

My mum refuses to accept that as a household, we do not watch DVDs and we stream content.

Two years ago, she brought us DVDs.

I said to her, Mummy, this is so kind of you.

We don't have a DVD player.

I'm going to look these up on streaming services and we will watch them.

Okay.

Then 18 months ago, she buys us a DVD player.

I said to her, mum, this is so kind of you, but we don't really have a setup that makes having a DVD player very easy.

We will use it, but like we would rather do streaming.

But if you've got suggestions for what you want us to watch, we would love that.

And you could even give us a voucher for buying those on streaming services.

That she does not adhere to.

Then every single occasion since, more DVDs, more DVDs.

A fair play to her, because if she is anticipating the outage of the internet, she saved us.
