And, like, I used to love 60 Minutes when I was a kid.
Like, obviously.
I could totally picture that sit-down interview with the producer where she accused Natalie of assault.
But even still, I was like, I don't like this.
And then there was a moment where old Caleb's, this is before we realize what's going on, says something to Natalie about how one of their daughters isn't vaccinated.
I'm like, oh, God, like...
And then I do think that Carol Claire Burke was trying to leave herself the possibility of a sequel because the last thing we get in the book is that Mary has sort of reclaimed her story and is like writing a little bit about what happened.
Has written a memoir.
Has written a memoir after Clementine basically like broke her out of her parents' homestead.
So and then I was just like, maybe she signed a two book deal.
It's like not the worst thing to do is set yourself up to explore this from another angle.
But I was so disappointed.
So disappointed.
Yeah, it was annoying.
It was objectively annoying.
I have been perhaps even the loudest person in the studio being like, what a good conceit.
I also have to recognize that like the concept of trad wives is so Quicksilver.
I do think that like there is a baseline understanding of what it is, but the actual emotional ramifications or dimensions to it are going to vary so much on person to person.
And like there are so many ideas in this book.
Too many.
