But they are so afraid that if a majority of white Americans, or still the majority, were to become empathetic to non-white Americans, to gay folks, to trans folks, they might vote in ways that cause rich people to pay taxes. matched

And all of the other stuff is just glitter and nasty gold and gaudy gold on the bottom line, which is that they want to have untaxed, unlimited wealth. matched

And so the purpose of the media is to educate white people matched

to believe in capitalism more than they believe in justice. matched

Because if they believed in justice more than they believed in capitalism, no Republican would ever get elected again. matched

And no Democrat that's a neoliberal would ever get elected again. matched

We would have a country with universal healthcare. matched

We would have a country where people could go to the ER and not end up broke. matched

We would have a country where people could be educated and not go into debt for the rest of their lives to get a college degree. matched

And that would be a country in which rich people would pay more taxes. matched
