I, I, me, me, I'm trying.

God, I'm trying so hard.

I don't know what else I can do.

And he's not asking us to do.

He's asking us to believe.

In John 6, the disciples ask, what are we to do?

to be working the works of God?

What are we to do to please God?

And he said, this is the work that God requires of you, that you believe in the one whom he has sent.

And see, faith and works go together, but if you get the works before the faith, then you got it backwards.

You gotta have the faith, the relationship with God, otherwise your motive for doing good works is gonna be wrong.

And if the motive's wrong, then you lose whatever reward you're gonna have for it.

I went through that for years and years, you know, thinking that I had to be good

do this do that pray so much every day and read the bible so much every day and and uh i remember a woman came to our church and she was an intercessor and she was teaching at the church and she said she prayed four hours every day and she seemed to have a real anointing and so i thought that's it i've got to pray four hours a day oh i tried to do that and all i did was fall asleep and then uh um that a

Somebody else came, and they had a read the Bible through in a year program, which I think is great.

But God hadn't really called me to do that.

I'm a teacher.

For me to try to read the Bible through in a year— What does that mean?

Well, I mean, I read three verses, and I'm off on a track making a message.
