There is a section here that has been removed from the existing platform that would have allowed, or I should say it would otherwise read, the city embraces efforts to support legislation or obtain funding for economic development initiatives, including originally planning and implementation of regional transportation traffic congestion relief projects.
that last section planning and implementation of regional transportation and traffic congestion relief projects is proposed to be removed and I'm wondering what the impetus for that is and if there is at least a means for shifting to a monitor position for these and in particular to retaining the planning for traffic congestion relief projects.

I'll just make the general comment that I'm not sure.
I certainly understand the concern that you have about timelines.
You know, having chaired the Legislative Action Committee at the Cities Association, it's somewhat frustrating that, you know, it meets on a basically monthly basis and you're trying to align to the calendar in Sacramento in particular.
I just have concerns about committing this particular activity to just two council members.

so mine is more of a philosophical objection i think that we meet often enough that if there are things that we want to take action on as a city that we should at least discuss it at council or have the opportunity to do so um even if that means divided votes i think this that what we've been doing for the past year has actually worked fairly well
the the lrc has whittled down what it is that might be of interest to the city and then if there have been disagreements amongst council members there's always been an opportunity even on consent to simply make the comment and then take a vote and i think that that is fine i'm not okay with with delegating authority quite this broadly to just two council members on this topic
right?
