All right, let's go to Pat Gallen first.
Pat.
Morning, guys.
JT, just wanted to know if there was ever a time in this process where you thought maybe, you know, you wouldn't be a Philadelphia Philly and, you know, obviously you are now, so it's all worked out.
But was there ever a time in this process where you thought, you know, you had to think about not being in Philadelphia?
Uh, yeah, there was, I mean, there towards the end, there was a short time, um, where obviously there's no secret that, you know, the Phillies had other opportunities.
And then myself as well, I was looking at other teams, um, there at the end, it got a little stressful to where, you know, we thought there was an opportunity or a chance that we weren't gonna be back, which, um, you know, obviously it wasn't ideal for us.
We made it pretty clear that we want to be with the Phillies from the start.
So luckily that, that didn't last too long and we were able to come together and get a deal done.
Let's go to Matt Gelb next.
Matt.
JT, I'm wondering, in your mind, you've gone through long free agent stretches before.
This last time took a while.
Was this one any different in your mind?
How was it different?
And what do you think about how the team shapes up now here late January?
Um, yeah, it was different just in the sense of, you know, where I'm at in my career.
Uh, the goals were really kind of different for us and obviously for the Phillies as well.
Um, I was just the main thing for me, you know, I know how the game works and I know, um, there's certain values on players.
And at the end of the day, I just value myself and what I do for the team and the clubhouse differently than what the Phillies did for a while.
