But let's talk about what needs to be separated here as we go into what is gonna be a fascinating 2026.
Um so Kyler's gonna start and the Kyler thing is a story within itself, former top overall draft pick.
But let's also look at the fact that O'Connell has now, would whether you like the timing or not, has now seemingly shifted his philosophy or shown a willingness to.
The Vikings are going to run the ball more.
That's the plan, right?
They have changed their schemes up.
They are doing, I think they're gonna do more quick game.
I think they're gonna get Kyler out in the in the boots more often, uh, because that's where he can succeed.
And that's all that's all that's O'Connell.
That's on O'Connell.
So let's see how that works.
Like to me, this is to me, we'll be able to say by the end of this season, oh my gosh, he really evolved.
Like as a play caller, as a coach, he really evolved.
Or, oh boy, when the pressure got on, he went right back to what he wanted to do, and Kyler did not uh succeed.
So I think this year is largely, Phil, a referendum on O'Connor.
Connell, because if he does what he is trying to do in practice, and if Frank Smith's run game takes hold and now we're outside zoning things, and now Kyler is rolling out and making passes, that shows a seismic shift.
And you might not like it didn't come a year ago.
Don't disagree with you, but that to me is the key thing.
And while it involves Kyler, that's more of a Kevin thing than a Kyler thing.
