I'm very interested in the idea.

I know that you were brought up as a Quaker.

And I think you are a Quaker still, are you?

I'd just like to say, incidentally, that I am also a Quaker.

And the Quakers are best known in the world for silence, for worshipping in silence.

And I think that your work itself instills a kind of silence.

That's a very important aspect of Quakerism as well.

People know about the silence.

I think they don't know quite so much about this idea of the light, the idea that George Fox, the founder of the Quakers, talked about an inner light and the light in everyone.

Tell me, James, are you, in your art, making that spiritual idea physical?

Is that what you're doing?
