That's a really rudimentary sort of explanation.
And serotonin is good.
Yeah.
at least like the right amount of serotonin is good.
How it works is it blocks the synapses that usually reuptake your serotonin from the synapse.
And in doing that and blocking the reuptake, it means that there's more available and that can help your brain to form new branches and have more serotonin available naturally.
to create that, I mean, people really just describe it like a bit of a feeling of like, it's okay, love.
Everything's going to be all right.
Don't worry about that.
Yeah.
So yeah, it blocks the serotonin receptor.
so that there's more serotonin available because it's not being re-uptaked by that synapse.
Yeah, that one's like I do really feel for people who are caring for someone who is depressed because, yeah,
Like you, particularly if it's someone close to you, you experience the effects of their depression, right?
Like you might get their irritability or you get like half the person that you normally get, right?
And all you want is to have that person back.
And depression is an illness which has people being not proactive enough
at all.
So I just want to say it's really hard as someone who is caring for someone with depression.
Try to look after yourself and understand that this could be a longer road than you want it to be.
