And so therefore they get stuck and they build up resistance and it comes through in behavior and you know, and so when I see that, you know, I always try to say to teams and parents, like that's our cue as adults that w there's something that needs to be taught, right?
Because if they could do it, they would
would.
I mean they would just engage in it.
So they're not because they're stuck and they don't, you know, our kids don't always know how to ask for help, even though they've got these really high IQs and they're really smart kids.
They're not good at being able to identify what the problem is and then asking for help.
Or they see asking for help as weakness, right?
They don't feel like they should have to ask for help because they know they're really smart.
And so there's all of that kind of internal chatter that can be
happening with them that holds them back from
from seeking out assistance in some ways that we would expect them to do.

Yeah.
I just had a client, you know, he was having a hard time in art and you know, he's again twice exceptional kiddo.
And I was saying that to his mom, like, you know, he does if he likes something and knows what to do, he's always jumps in.
So if he's sitting in art and he's not doing anything, and you know, the teacher's email was like, Well, he needs to ask for help.
And it's like, except that, you know, he has autism, and part of autism, you know, it hits our social domain of our brain.
it hits the communication part of our brain.
So it's gonna be that sounds really simple to ask for help, but that's hard for him.
He doesn't know exactly how to do that.
