They know the risks and they know the harms and they know actually what needs to be done.
I mean, these are
They are developing the most advanced technology in the world.
They can use it to target consumers with deadly precision when it comes to advertising.
They certainly know how to identify fake and imposter accounts as well as criminals that might be targeting young people and when intimate imagery may be traveling over their websites.
You know, I think more needs to be done.
We'll be surfacing up some really specific things that companies are and are not doing.
And I think that communications and reputational lever is a really important one to pull because companies can and should do better.
Our children's lives depend on it.
Well, we've got MOUs and partnerships with every state and territory law enforcement agency, as well as with the AFP.
And this is something that's of high concern to them as well.
So we're trying to make sure that we're delivering the same kind of messaging.
We're obviously sharing and doing referrals.
You know, the AFP has attaches in countries all over the world.
The simple fact of the matter is that once you pay, it's very, very hard to get your money taken back.
And what you're actually seeing is permissive operating environments, often in developing countries where there is a lot of poverty and these have become
cottage industries that either protected by government or government has not had the ability to infiltrate them.
When I worked at Microsoft 15 years ago, I remember meeting government officials from the anti-scam department in Nigeria, and they all had body cards because these were very dangerous criminals.
those in government that had the audacity to try and prevent their illegal activities were at risk.
