I mean, are we if you're if you're five, if you're fifteen, if you're twenty-five, if you're fifty two like me, you know, how do we define what staying home means?
Um, for our children.
It is.
I've heard it y uh referred to as the germ circle.
Like you have to decide what your germ circle is.
Is it, you know, your immediate family only, or is it, you know, if you've got uh, you know, hypothetically, like I do, yeah, an eighteen year old who's very tight with somebody else, are we effectively a germ circle with their family?
And I think I would need to talk to that family and say, This is what we're doing, this is what our isolation looks like, what are you doing?
Because the
The minute any of us breaks from the seven of us out, you know, then then we're just we're not social isolating.
Let me do this.
Um I wanna get specifics from you.
Everyone wants to hear specifics, but I just wanna give um uh Lori an opportunity to tell us from a psychologist perspective what this is doing um and how we can manage it, what it's doing to us as parents and what it's doing to our kids.

Um I just on the way to coming downstairs to do this webinar, this Zoom thing, I passed my husband and daughter in our family room both playing the guitar.
And I just got this, I took a picture because that's what we do these days, right?
I was like, oh I gotta capture this amazing image.
And it was a perfect example of all the things we can do, all the ways in which we can find our way out of boredom and um, you know, find our way into activity and into togetherness with the people with whom we're isolating.
Um, when we pause and think clearly for a moment or two, we discover what's hiding, the art supplies that are hiding in the closet.
But, you know, I've also heard teenagers in particular saying things like
I need my friends for my mental health.
