I would argue better than some had expected, especially in New York 13, in New York 7, where you really had these candidates.

In some cases, like 13, you had Congressman Espaillat, who was the chair of the Hispanic caucus, who was so deeply ingrained with the Dominican community in his district that it was a shock to aides for Democratic leadership that I was talking to.

Right.

And it just shows you how much power not only Mamdani has, the influence that he has on Democratic New Yorkers.

And I want to be specific because we saw this in New York might not translate to other states in the same way, but it cannot be ignored anymore.
