So that's about 15,500 vehicles, more than double the level of 12 months ago.

So helping, of course, is the federal government's tax breaks for these EVs.

That's an incentive which the Albanese government yesterday confirmed will stay in place after next week's budget, at least until next May.

And the electric car discount was introduced at the start of 2023.

It's cut through thousands of dollars from the cost of leasing an eligible EV through an exemption to the fringe benefits tax as well.

Interesting though, like where do you charge it?

Because I often wonder, particularly living in a unit, you know, there's a lot of places you can't actually charge them.

Very handy indeed.

All right, well, the Macquarie Australia Conference was held yesterday and it's being held again today.

It is an opportunity for many listed companies to provide investors with an update on how they're performing and in the current climate, expectations, of course, for downgrades.

But that isn't always the case.

So, for instance, Qantas CEO Vanessa Hudson, she yesterday told the conference that demand for travel within Australia is growing more slowly, but it's not going backwards.

I noticed as well, they've got their double status going on at the moment as well, which always gets people jumping on.

Yeah, if you're registered as a frequent flyer.

So, you know, a lot of people, I used to have a very high status when I lived overseas, not so much anymore, but they really wanted to keep on to their status level.

So this is one time where you can really try and increase those credits that keep you at that level.
