The financial crimes watchdog has launched an investigation into gaming group Tabcorp, concerned about its ability to detect and stop money laundering.
In a statement to the ASX, Tabcorp said AUSTRAC's investigation was focusing on whether it was complying anti-money laundering rules and properly monitoring its customers.
Now, the investigation is at an early stage, according to the company.
But the announcement said Tabcorp's share price down 23%.
