And so yeah, it it was a little bit tough.
This is the first time that
I've done a trip this big, you know, without her.
And we were hoping that she could come, but she actually just started a new job.
She's actually in the room next door right now working.
Um and so she just couldn't take the PTO for it and I I've been itching to do another big hike 'cause the last big trip was to PC T in twenty twenty four and I I can't take
Too much time off to go do like a real through hike again, so like, okay, I I can do this on PTO and I had this planned out, but then she got this new job, so she couldn't make it, so wasn't ideal, but
Yeah, she she was sad that I was doing it on my own, for sure.
But we we we handled it fine, you know.
In the end it wasn't that bad.
Um, we'll do bigger trips together in the future.
But yeah.
This is the first time that we've actually like been apart for this long, uh especially with hiking, um, since we've been together.
Yeah, well fortunately no grizzly bears in New Mexico.
But there were a couple of bear encounters, yeah.
Which I guess one of the benefits of hiking solo is, you know, you're quieter and so you get to see more wildlife.
Um, which I think that was one of the highlights of this trail was the wildlife, but
I'll get more into that.
