as like a through hike from Santa Fe to Taos, like I think there's a better hundred and thirty miles you could go do.
Um like I'm glad I did it.
It was still a good experience.
But like after you left the Pecos wilderness, it's like
You still have half the trail to go and
You're just on old abandoned roads, unmaintained trail, like it wasn't special.
Like I'd rather just be backpacking in Colorado or somewhere.
Yeah.
And yeah, this this Santa Fe de Taos Trail too, like fortunately when I was going through the Pecos wilderness, the most beautiful part of it, I was hitting that midweek.
So I was like at these beautiful alpine lakes, like all to myself.
And it was spectacular in that sense.
Um
But I'm sure on a weekend it's swarming with people, so like if anyone is going to do the trail, I would try to time it so that you're going through the Pecos wilderness midweek.
I I feel yeah.
We we we did the four pass loop up by Aspen last September.
And we did it in three days.
And there are people that will just trail run that entire thing in a day.
And it's like ten thousand feet of elevation gain in twenty six miles.
