Got a little bit closer, and then like a bear cub popped out from behind this rock.

Oh crap.

It's like I stop.

It's like head on a swivel.

I'm looking around, like I know there's gotta be a mama bear here somewhere.

And then fortunately like I see the Mama Bear off to the left of the trail not far from the cubs.

They're both in front of me.

But I still like

Back up slowly, back up slowly.

Yeah.

I waited like five minutes to see if they would scamper off, but they didn't really just kinda hung around for a while.

So then I just started yelling, Hey Bear Adam.

And then the bear cub like s spooked and like ran up a tree, like crawled thirty feet up a tree.

waited a little bit longer, yelled at him again, and eventually the bear cub like scampered back down the tree and they both ran off.

So uh nothing bad happened.

Both ended up being good bear encounters, I suppose.

But yeah, a couple bear sightings and then the bighorn sheep and some awesome deer out there.

So yeah, I think one of the highlights is is the wild.
