I have gone through, I watched the full episode, I've watched all of the videos they've posted on social media explaining and and responding to the fact that this has gone viral.
The episode is largely about Chanel Contas.
She founded Teach Us Consent.
She is a consent activist in Australia and she successfully recently ran the Fix Our Feeds campaign.
And in this podcast episode, Joanna and her husband heavily critique Chanel and the idea of consent education more broadly.
And they criticize the fact that the Albanese government has given significant funding to Chanel's nonprofit Teach Us Consent to expand its sexual violence and consent education work.
I think it's really important to say here that they don't just critique her work.
They really go after her as a person.
It's awful.
And her intellect.
We've debated whether or not to reshare some of those comments on this podcast.
Honestly, I think they're too awful to.
Um, but the bottom line is that they go after her intellect and her integrity.
And a lot of their outrage, I think, stems from the fact that they really hate consent education being rolled out in schools in Australia.
What a bizarre hill to die on.
Well, I think it's important to understand though, like what is their what how do they justify that?
And they seem to view consent education.
This is what I've gotten from their content and their podcast.
They seem to view consent education as an ideology that is being pushed onto children with the consequence of sexualizing them.
