And I remember thinking like, oh, I'll pay off Sally Mae in a few months.

And my husband came to me and looked over my shoulder at the computer screen.

He was like,

Why don't you just pay it off now?

You have the money in the bank.

The thing that was holding me back though, I was viewing that savings as security.

The more I had in the bank, the more safe and secure that I felt.

And it was really, really hard for me to let that go.

And I was having a hard time trusting myself to make that decision.

And I had kind of this higher, like outer body experience or this higher power was like, hey, you know what, Justine, if you pay off that Sally May loan, you're going to get that money back and then some.

Okay, so you can just go ahead.

And I was like,

Thank you, Jesus.

I will hit submit.

Payment done.

And what do you know?

I was able to recoup that money and obviously more since paying off that debt.

And so I think that was really my first taste of financial self-trust that I carry with me to say, like, these are big financial decisions that I can feel really good about and excited about because it's leading me to bigger and better opportunities.
