Because everybody knew he's so talented.
And that's how he educated the players.
For him, the education of the players was more important than actually winning the title at the end of the day.
And that was the first season.
We ended up that season as a runner-up, but unfortunately, Olympique Marseille bought the championship.
They corrupted the other teams and the referees under Bernard Tapie.
And so they didn't give us the title for that, but they gave us the slot going into the Champions League for the next season,
where we ended up actually in the semi-final losing to AC Milan in 1994.
And that's when these talents, Lilian Thuram, Emmanuel Paty and Yuri Djokov got on the international stage.
And then four years later, obviously in 1998, they won the World Cup.
But he was, for me, more an educator than anything else.

We grew up... The only league we were able to watch in England in the 70s, 80s was English.
