Who's the centre back in the under-21, right?

It was for us more important within

the federation to have this connection.

So I called the under-21 coach, said, do you have a centre-back for me?

So we're going to go to Iran, we play a friendly game in front of 100,000 in Tehran.

I said, yeah, I have this kid, you know, he's a tall kid, you know, he's a little bit still trying to find his own buddy.

His name is Pirmatisako and I think he will be good one day.

So I called him and I said, instead of going to the under 21 for a friendly, you come with us.

And then the day before the game in Tehran, a training session, I told him, listen, if things go well tomorrow,

you're going to get your first cap.

And he was like, that is the coach.

And then there came the moment we were leading 2-0, the game went our way.

And then I looked back to him and said, are you ready, Per?

And then, so this is how then, you know, it's just nice that these kind of stories then start and have its beginning.

They were very skeptical because for us Germans, change is not easy.

I knew that.

And I said in my introduction, I said, listen, guys, I'm abroad now for six years.

I mean, most of my career I was abroad.

But I really believe that the way things were happening before did not work out.
