In 1904, a British mining company prospector named J.C.
Brown reported finding a sloping tunnel under Mount Shasta that ran 11 miles back to an ancient underground city.
He saw strange hieroglyphs, gold artifacts, and mummies that were 10 feet tall.
So again, seeing really tall people.
He kept it a secret for three days and then he just couldn't keep it in any longer, I guess.
But in 1934, he told his story to John C. Root and organized an expedition.
On the day the men were set to depart, Brown disappeared without a trace.
