If I have to just give an honest answer, I would just say I think it more helped me because it helped me develop my own personality so I wasn't as attached to him.
Because imagine being attached to him all through school, all through college, and then he's like, I'm going to move to Charlotte.

I go to school in Greensboro.
I can't go two hours away.
You know, that would have been traumatic.
So I think it helped have distance between us as adults.
