I fought so many times where I shouldn't have.
I fought with this injury, that injury.
I fought in New York with a hole in my hand.
But I still went through and I fought.
Now, these are all things that you don't realize at the time.
You could get away with when you're young and you've put in so much time and have created such a gap between yourself and the rest.
But over time, it starts to kind of catch up to you.
This is exactly what they say with Father Time.
It catches up to everybody.
And so it catches up to you where it's like, man, all those things that I used to just be able to just put to the side and go out there and compete, they're lingering a lot longer now.
So then you drop one fight, and it's like, oh, my God, how is that possible?
And then it's like you jump into another one in a situation you probably shouldn't have jumped into, but you jump into it anyways because you're used to being that tough guy who can just say yes all the time.
I'm yes all the time, yes all the time.
And then you drop another one.
