And as Your Honor knows, under Lauro v. Charles, the Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit has held it to be clearly established
that these staged perp walks to the media, unrelated to a legitimate law enforcement objective, is unconstitutional.
And I submit there was zero law enforcement objective to do that sort of perp walk.
There's absolutely no need for that whatsoever.
And frankly, Your Honor, the mayor should know more than anyone
of the presumption of innocence that he too is afforded when he dealing with his own issues.
And frankly, I submit that he was just trying to detract from those issues by making a spectacle of Mr. Mangione.
You've got to think about this guy.
This is a guy that the media didn't give a time of day to after he was accused of sleeping with an underage girl.
There's a reason why no one in the conference came and defended him, because we had all seen the videos he was showing on the House floor that all of us had walked away with.

And so when that accusation came out, no one defended him, and then no one on the media would give him a time of the day.
All of a sudden, he found fame because he opposed the Speaker of the House back in November, and he's always stayed there.
And he was never going to leave until he got this last moment of fame by going after a motion to vacate.
That we get immediate discovery of the New York City Police Department and FBI and federal and state documents.
About the client's right to a fair trial in this case.
He's being prejudiced by some statements that are being made by government officials.
