President Trump said talk to the Iran over an interim peace deal will work out well, even as the country's forces clash again near the Strait of Hormuz.

Israeli troops have captured a strategic mountain topped with a crusader-built castle in southern Lebanon in their deepest incursion into the country in more than a quarter century.

This comes after days of intense fighting and airstrikes in nearby villages where Israeli troops fought Hezbollah militants.

Israeli forces are now deeper inside Lebanon than they've been in over 25 years.

Despite a U.S.-brokered ceasefire with Iran, the incursion challenges efforts to extend the Iran war ceasefire as Tehran wants a deal to end the fighting in Lebanon as well.

In New Jersey, Governor Mikey Sherrill says federal officials will allow visitors back inside the Delaney Hall Immigrant Detention Center in Newark.

The center, overseen by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, suspended visits last week as tensions escalated over living conditions for detainees.

The situation reached a boiling point this weekend when protesters threw projectiles at police, set fires and fought over barricades.

Former Fed Chair Jay Powell is warning the central bank will lose the credibility it needs to support a strong, stable economy if presidents are free to fire Fed officials over policy disagreements.
