We know that graduate degrees in computing and graduate degrees in many fields are critical for maintaining research programs and advancing knowledge and applications of that knowledge and development of important technological advancements across a variety of sectors.

And so paying attention to the research capacity that we have is going to have a direct impact on the amount of innovation that we're able to do, not only within the university settings, but also within industry.
