how good do you think your backup left back is going to be?
I think he's done manfully in most games.
He is a little bit of an airhead and does have a moment in him, you know, with defensive laps and concentration.
But I think my sort of bigger concern is I'm not entirely sure that I'm not entirely comfortable with, right, Kirk is the left back and we're just going to go forward with this.
I'm not completely averse to it either, but
I think he started off really poorly, did definitely improve, there's no doubt about that, but has tailed off towards the end of the season again and I'm not entirely sold on him and I don't actually think the manager is either.
Yeah, for me, if you want to treat a player who's given us so much over eight years, nine years now, no, eight years where Alisson's come in, or is it seven actually?
Sorry, I think it's seven.
He's given us eight years and you can understand, especially given the injuries that he's had and his body's certainly a little bit different to what it was at one stage.
You would quite like to be able to say, actually, if you want to go, then we're not going to stand in your way, but...
The situation is, I think he's just going to have to suck it up and give us another season because we're not convinced about what's behind him right now.
I'm not comfortable with Mamadashvili coming in and becoming the first choice.
Maybe after another year.
Arnott's thought will know 100% whether it went okay are we going to need to then go out and get another keeper to replace Ellison or are we happy with Llamadash filly I just don't think you can make that decision now and if you are making that decision now the answer for me is no and so you have to go out and buy somebody else and it just feels like something but Llamadash filly wasn't cheap either no that's another factor for me no absolutely but he's not good enough he's not good enough so we just have to wait and see so is there an argument to sell Llamadash filly
I'm comfortable enough with him coming in and when Alisson inevitably misses 10, 15 games next season, I'm fine with that.
I'm just not sure I can do a full season of him yet.
So no, because if you sell him then you've got to do something else there.
I think he's okay as a backup right now, I'm just not sure he can make the step up.
I understand the argument around wanting to give him another year, but we're already talking about 100 million euros, sort of thing, like 88 million pounds right now.
Well, if he goes to the World Cup and lights it up and then, of course, 15 hexes, I mean, what are we talking about that fee being?
