Well, sure. Thanks for asking that, Charlie. And it's such an honor to be working on behalf of President Trump in this entire administration. The president has put together such a phenomenal team of fighters, of great communicators who we are all working so hard on his behalf every day to implement his agenda. This job is a lot of fun. I enjoy speaking truth and common sense daily.
to the press corps here at the White House. And it makes it easy when you have a boss who also is the best communicator that we have and talks directly to the media every single day and answers questions from them as well. So it's a great team that we have here. We are at a very fast pace. Breakneck speed is what many in the mainstream media are calling it. And that is true.
The president is working 24-7 and we all are too. And you see the results of that in just a few short weeks.
Yes. I decided not to bring a binder into the briefing room. I felt it was better to just obtain the knowledge firsthand and have it in my brain ready to go for briefing days. And I rely on our phenomenal team in the White House to help me prepare our friends at the National Security Council, the National Economic Council.
You know, I get in very early, especially on briefing days and every day, consume the news of the day, what we believe I will be asked depending on the news cycle and what the cable networks are talking about. And then I lean on the experts in the building.
And they're so gracious with their time to come to my office and help me understand the issues of the day and how the administration is responding to them. And then, of course, I talk to the president daily as well. I'm with him a lot of time throughout the day. So I really have a good understanding of what he's thinking and how he's feeling. And he's the best boss. He gives it to you straight.
And he's a very direct communicator himself. And again, he is out there being the most accessible president in history, taking questions from the press almost daily. And so I think everybody understands where this president stands on the problems that our country is facing. And they understand what this administration is doing to solve them.
So it's a lot of information to absorb because there's a lot of news coming out of this White House every day. But it's all good news because the president is delivering on his priorities. So it's very exciting for me to go out there and share them and speak on behalf of the president of the United States.
Yes. Unfortunately, USAID has become a federal government agency funded by the taxpayers, but run by, as the president said, radical left lunatics who have been spending money on needless, insane priorities overseas that do nothing to advance America's interests abroad. And so this administration has streamlined USAID into the Department of State and And we have a freeze on foreign aid.
The president issued that with an executive order. And so now Secretary Rubio is overseeing USAID. And his team at the State Department is going line by line to – oversee and review some of the wasteful spending, the fraud and the abuse throughout the entire State Department.
But particularly at USAID, the State Department and our Doge team here at the White House have found just egregious violations of the American tax people's money. You had millions of dollars going out the door for LGBTQ programs in foreign countries. That does nothing, again, to advance our national security interests here at home, nothing to advance humanitarian causes abroad.
So this administration is going to run the federal business, the federal government, like a business. And business owners across the country have to go line by line, money in, money out, examining their priorities. And that's exactly what this administration is doing. And it's wildly popular with the American people, Charlie.
56% of Americans, according to a new Reuters poll, support the president's freeze on foreign aid. And so the Democrats who are hooting and hollering all over Washington, D.C. about this are just proving they learned nothing in the last election. They continue to be incredibly out of touch with where the American people are on these very important issues. And the president is not fazed by the.
outrage by the left, which is, again, incredibly misplaced. Where was the outrage by Democrats for North Carolinians and people in California who lost everything because of natural disasters and received nothing in return from the previous administration? This president, this administration are focused on putting the American people first.
And if Democrats don't understand that, I guess they should buckle up to continue to lose elections in the future.
Absolutely, Charlie, and I'm so glad that you asked that question because there is so much misinformation flying around about Doge and Elon Musk's team that are working on behalf and at the direction of President Donald Trump. Let me just start by saying that Doge was a promise that President Trump campaigned on.
He campaigned alongside Elon Musk and was very vocal about the fact that he would be appointing Elon or tasking Elon with this very important role of putting together the Department of Government Efficiency. And Elon has brought in highly skilled individuals who are very proficient in technology, I may add, to review, again, the transactions and the payments of the federal government.
These individuals have read only access and at the direction of the secretaries of these departments, they are curbing back wasteful spending on useless priorities like DEI, for instance. It's at the president's direction that we no longer fund DEI programs here in the United States. or anywhere on the planet.
And so Doge has identified millions and millions of dollars in DEI programs all over the world that don't align with the president's priorities. And so Doge is focused on, again, making the government more efficient and more aligned with the president's policies that he campaigned on and received an overwhelming mandate to implement.
The president, actually, I think Prime Minister Netanyahu said it best the other night when he was speaking alongside the president here at the White House. And he said that when President Trump announces a new bold idea, jaws drop and then people actually think about it. and they scratch their heads and they say he is right.
