It may have been more, but there was one for sure.
And they're really showing their power there.
And a lot of these guys were actually with the Metros under El Sapo, who's also a major figure within CG&G.
So, I know it's a lot of names and words, but...
It's important because it shows how all of these sub-cells and groups, especially pertaining to CGNG, are in a way connected.
And because of how these sub-cells and certain high-ranking plaza bosses or commanders within CGNG have their own loyal followings, that has been what's perpetuated this overall control that CGNG has gained across all of Mexico.
And that's a big part of why when El Mencho was captured, killed in February, we didn't see, like, this huge breakdown of CG&G and infighting and extreme violence.
I mean, you know, there was like a blip of buses were on fire, a National Guard was getting attacked, but we weren't seeing, like,
this restructurization and house of cards falling in of CJNG, which could have been expected considering their leader, the Kingpin, was taken out.
But because there are so many strong entities within CJNG and it's operating like a Fortune 500 with major figures with their own loyal followings, the amount of control and power they have over so much of the population and the country,
It's hard to even, like, grasp it.
Okay, from my understanding, the reason why they do it is to maintain strong, loyal, and intact territorial control within smaller regions, right?
The naming thing has to do with
who's the leader, and to know, like, okay, this group commits an act.
Yes, we are CG&G, but that's us.
You know, it's not just the broader CG&G.
Does that make sense?
It doesn't?
is kind of like that in the sense.
So, when we're talking about FZNG, the Zacatecas forces, that sub-cell, they're responsible for certain trafficking pipelines, certain amount of control in that region, paying off specific politicians and law enforcement.
