you know, I know we say the humans, the human trafficking, the sex trafficking is a major operation, particularly too for CGNG.
CGNG doesn't really touch fentanyl the way the Sinaloa cartel does because fentanyl production was created by
allegedly, Iván Archibaldo, El Chapo's son.
He was the one that got in touch with the Chinese cooks, figured out that this synthetic, easy-to-make drug, highly addictive, potent drug, would be very profitable for them.
CJ&G, however, focuses more on meth, cocaine, human trafficking.
And I never really wanted to cover human trafficking or sex trafficking for the very selfish reason of it's very hard to talk about, hear about.
It's very tragic.
And a lot of the work is tragic, but this is something where you feel like you cannot make anything better, and you're talking to victim after victim who has been brutalized by sex trafficking.

And so this summer, I did a whole story on how human sex trafficking in Mexico directly links to the United States and how a lot of the major individuals responsible for trafficking women from central and southern Mexico and even further down in South America are these men in control or family networks, I guess.
are actually operating from the United States.
Um, and they're going into these small towns and they're luring and recruiting women and bringing them to border towns and some of them bringing them into the United States where they're working at clandestine bars, uh, as sex workers.
And they were misled to be there.
They...
didn't know that they were going to have to provide sexual services against their will.
