she got pregnant and she was like, she had already lost a pregnancy before and she said, I had to leave.
And she goes, I just grabbed all my shit and I got back home and I had like no money to do it.
And she escaped to her family.
And I asked her, you know, were you afraid?
And she still has a relationship with her trafficker who she considers her husband because he's the father of her child.
And she told me that she feels like no man will ever love her knowing what she has done in her life.
So this is the only man who has, in a way, as evil as he was, and she said this, as evil as he was, is still with her.
And when she told me that she got pregnant,
what she used, I guess, as leverage to leave, I said, I was like, you know, were you worried?
that it would be a girl, because it's actually quite common, unfortunately, where traffickers will impregnate the girls, and then if it's a daughter, then they'll bring them up, whatever, and then that girl gets trafficked.
And in our interview, she starts bawling when I asked her this, and then I start crying.
And she was like, my biggest fear was to have a girl.
I prayed every night that God would not send me a daughter because life as a woman is horrible.
And the life that she lived was tragic.
And she told me most of the clients she was serving were American citizens, Americans who were coming to Tijuana for sex tourism.
And... she was abused a lot.
Of course, you know, it comes with the territory.
Um... But yeah, that was the worst thing ever.
And she did tell me of a lot of girls she knew that were trafficked, who were in Tijuana with her at some point.
