Right after I just spoke with a woman who told me that she was trafficked and lured from this state, asked for help, never received it, and was terrorized for a decade of her life, and is back here and has no resources to access to even maybe make something better of her life that was destroyed.

And when you talk about the American connection,
I understand that there's this perception that, well, you know, cartels are Mexico's problem.
At least that was the perception for a long time.
And I think we even spoke about this last time where, well, that's not our problem.
I mean, you guys, I'm not American, but that's not a US problem.
That's a Mexico problem.
And there was, has always been this kind of distinction between, so US is combating fentanyl and cartels.
Why?
Because fentanyl is killing Americans at record rates.
But then there's this other side of it that has a lot more nuance where now this Mexico problem is a problem because
of Americans, and now it's becoming an American problem.
And I think human trafficking is a prime example of that, because these girls are being trafficked into the US, and then these guys aren't getting caught.
Who's to say that they're not also trafficking American women simultaneously?
Of course they are.
It's a massive network.
And if it spans borders, they have no limit.
