They had a kind of family-run smaller refinery, and they were knowingly purchasing the stolen crude oil because it was a lower price.

They're very tired of it and they want it to end and they'll take the stand.
But also, you know, we have to appreciate that there's so much deep-rooted fear in standing up against that.
It's completely understandable.
It's like, how do you take on this big beast if even the government can't?
It's a collective approach
So there's actually a lot of Mexican people I've spoken to who are very anti-cartels that say they would love to see that in Mexico, that that's what it needs, that Mexico needs a Bukele.
I think if they were to go after everyone, just like Bukele did, and, you know, anyone who has any morsel of connection to criminals or criminal activity goes straight to jail with no end in sight, you know, indefinitely,
Yes, it could be effective, but like I said, the different... What Mexico would also have to do that El Salvador kind of got under control is they would have to compensate in the economy, right?
Because like we said, so much of it is run by the cartels.
And that would be the part that disincentivizes them from just being like, we're going to go and do this widespread cleanup and throw everyone into this mega prison like Secot.
But I have heard that before.
