I do think that in the conversations I'm in, you can only control how you respond is usually said to people with really acute suffering who then have to perform better.

I do think there is one piece, too, though, about over... I think in every philosophical or religious tradition, you can ask primarily, is this a head religion?

Is this a heart religion?

Is this a spirit religion?

And Stoicism is obviously a prioritization of the head and mind.
