Dear Kate and Alex, we've had a women's softball cricket team at our club for three years now, and this year we're launching our first women's XI squad and playing in a hardball league for the first time.
What advice do you have for us, but not about our game, about the other stuff?
I'm talking about the stuff that no one tells you about, the stuff that you won't find written anywhere, like wear your biggest pants or don't get the Velcro on your thigh gardener, your bikini line.
Because I found a better thong, basically.
Like a sporty one that doesn't chafe or rub.
Don't wear lacy underwear to play cricket.
They were not Ansemers, they were Bow Avenue and you know it.
I couldn't afford Ann Summers.
What would be my no-one-tells-you advice?
I don't think your thigh gardener, your bikini line's an issue.
Unless it's been a while.
In which case, look after yourself a bit more.
Okay, actually, my genuine advice would be always have spare skins, spare underwear and spare sports bra in your bag.
Because there's been so many, or there was so many times where I was like, oh God, I feel grim and I've sweated because I've bowled and I just want to feel clean and, you know, like shower mid-game or whatever.
That would be my advice.
And socks, spare socks, always a good one.
Remember when you were saying people don't think that you wash because you've got a spot on your nose?
