Now, I want to tell you both about a book that I've read and you haven't.
It's by the writer Deborah Levy, South African-born English writer whose works include plays, poetry, short stories –
and the novels Swimming Home, Hot Milk, August Blue, and six others, including the one that I'm going to tell you about, which is called My Year in Paris with Gertrude Stein.
But I really want to make honourable mention to her trio of memoirs known as Living Autobiographies.
Things I Don't Want to Know, The Cost of Living and Real Estate.
I mean, for me, they were innovative, intelligent books because she really likes to play around with form.
I mean, Bernadette, BJ, are you familiar with her work?
Well, I'm just going to steal both of your homework and say ditto.
But does that mean that you also prefer her non-fiction to her fiction?
I really do.
Well, I'm not sure then what you're going to make of this next one because it's called My Year in Paris with Gertrude Stein, a fiction.
