Okay, you heard it here.
Go forth and read Joseph Furphy, Such Is Life.

Well, and Miranda Otto plays the young woman and they are both so good.
But on the back of that, I, you know, I picked up the book.

Bernadette Brennan is a scholar and literary judge whose books include biographies of Helen Garner and Gillian Mears, as well as a critical study of Brian Castro.
She's currently writing a literary biography of the Australian writer Drusilla Majeska.
BJ Silcox is a critic, literary interviewer, essayist and, as we just heard, a judge, who has a piece in the latest Griffith Review, Mirror Mirror, on not recognising her own reflection, which I would also highly recommend.
We've reached the end of The Bookshelf.
