Some of the four best years of my life, going to Adelaide, getting the sack from AFL hit me pretty hard, but I had to jump into the next thing, and then it was coached SNFL.
I'd coached VFL, so I'd done Casey Demons with Melbourne, I'd done Coburg when they were aligned to Richmond, but coaching your own team and being accountable to a board and a supporter group who are pretty strong over there in South Australia, it was brilliant for my progression.

The walks of life have been very lucky for me.
I keep looking at life pretty pragmatically and enjoy every opportunity I get.
