It's probably right now because you haven't got organized, you're spending too much time on your phone, and you're not actually prioritizing the things that are important to move closer toward that goal.
The other thing I just want to quickly add, which is kind of my last point, is just around breaking your big goals up into daily non-negotiables.
So if you have a really big goal that seems really scary for you and you've spent the first half of the year not being able to achieve or have any movement towards that, maybe you need to look at what you are doing every single day, those micro habits that we've spoken about on this podcast before, that is either allowing you to reach that goal or hindering you from getting closer toward it.
So for me, I think about my business goals.
I have massive business goals.
Am I achieving that in one day?
No, but I know every single time I show up, I post content, I'm my authentic self, I create a podcast, I put myself out there, I connect with people.
Every single day I do these small little things that all compounds to the end result.
Same thing with fat loss.
You're not going to magically jump on the scale tomorrow and have lost 10 kilos.
But what you do every single day, those tiny micro habits, the getting to the gym, the not snoozing your alarm, you're hitting your steps, meal prepping, the nutrition.
Every single day when you do that, you're not going to see a result straight away, but it compounds to the result that you want at the end.
And I find that when people set goals, they forget that they have to show up every single day and do those tiny micro things to then allow that compounding result at the end of the timeframe that they've set.
And it's really easy to lose yourself along the way, get disheartened when you're not getting that immediate quick fix or that immediate result.
And I'm just here to say daily non-negotiables are more important, in my opinion, than
actually the goal at the end, because it allows you to enjoy the process and fall in love with the journey of achieving it and challenge yourself every single day.
You've proven to yourself you're doing hard shit all of the time.
I am not, like, I would not say that motivation is really in my vocabulary.
Like, I don't wake up every day being like,
can't wait to drive an hour in traffic and do all the things that I need to do.
