So we see Marie Antoinette going off to her uh you know, the the her the petty trianon which you can still go to in Versailles.
Which is like a
she sort of renovates it.
It's very beautiful and it's but it's t tiny by royal standards.
And that's where she can go to feel much more free away from the stoltifying court.
But it's a sort of small group of people who are allowed there.
And Antonia Fraser, who's written just an iconic book about Marie Antoinette,
She writes so well about this small group, this small social group that Marie Antoinette becomes socially dependent on.
And it's actually shown very well in the Sophia Coppola film, but it's all it's you know, these young, fun people, but it's a problem because the traditional aristocrats of Versailles
they don't like being excluded.
And when they want to whip up hatred against Marie Antoinette, it's not going to work for them to say, Oh, wow, no one invited us to the party.
