I actually remember when we were little, my family never really had any money, so holidays were usually driving in cars, and usually it would be a second-hand car that was borrowed from somebody because we were a family of six, but our car was never, ever big enough.

we'd get on the ferry over to Calais and then drive through France and camp.

And it was absolutely brilliant.

And it would always be the middle of the night ferry at sort of three in the morning because it was the cheapest.

And I think at one point kids could go for like a pound.

And I remember going into tiny French markets and just being over the moon.

My mum would be able to, you know, get us all a huge French stick and we'd split it between us and, oh, heaven, the best.
