Yeah, I would probably avoid the what does it pay question.

It's the fuss question that I ask.

That's usually an amber flag for me.

what do you think success looks like in this role?

That's a good question because then you know going into it what's expected of you and whether you can meet those expectations.

I like that question.

What about you?

Yeah, and I think it's absolutely – I would far rather hear from a candidate in an interview see –

that's not something i've got experience of when posed with a question but it's something i'm really keen to learn about and i know i can get information from x y and z to help me build that capability then fluff through an answer that's not entirely right yep that's where that like you say self-awareness and authenticity and honesty comes into it

It's absolutely not a bad thing to do.

And I think if you want to give yourself the best chance of success, you want to go in armed with all of the information.

So if you're reading the documents that you've been provided and you feel like something's missing, then call up and ask the questions.

If you want some clarification about the role so you know you're going for the right thing rather than going for it and then pulling out later in the process, do that and save everyone a little bit of time and effort.

Save yourself some time and effort.

So I absolutely think it's a good thing.

And additionally, if you feel like going into the process you might need some adjustments because of any additional needs that you might have, that's a great time to be talking to the panel or the employer or the organisation about that as well.

I like it when people stop and think about the response first, because if you actually give it 10 seconds, you probably do have a bit of an answer or a way to articulate your understanding of the topic.
