Gaps in the employment history that are unexplained is a red flag for me.
It's okay to have gaps because you're saying, I went to Europe for a year or I went backpacking.
Lovely, right?
But if you can't explain the gaps, then that's something that we would want to dig into from a child safety and compliance perspective.
And
For me, and it's difficult because we live in Melbourne and the traffic's really bad, but lateness.
It's alright to call and say I'm stuck on the freeway, I'm so sorry I'm running 10 minutes late, but plan to be there 10 minutes early in the first place.
It's a point, right?
So you want to walk in not with a sales pitch but an elevator pitch, I think, is the first thing.
That switches it from arrogance to productive for me.
It's aligned to the conversation that you're having.
I think it's okay to have really good examples of where you've had great achievements.
They need to be your achievements, not piggybacking off the back of somebody else's achievements.
I think we hear a little bit of that sometimes.

Yeah, I think the things that we're talking about so often are really solo things.
right this is a team sport we have team efforts we have team achievements everyone plays a role in it recognising the role that you played in that team setting displays some humility without sounding like arrogance definitely I think too sorry mate is that I don't know like the role that you're interviewing for is really important so like
Growth mindset.
Isn't that – yeah, that's terrific.
